Archive Policy

The Journal of Innovative Midwifery Practice (JOICE) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. We ensure that all articles remain permanently available and freely accessible to the public, even in the event the journal is no longer published.

1. Digital Archiving

JOICE uses trusted third-party archiving systems to preserve and safeguard its scholarly content. All published articles are stored and archived through:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

  • Indonesian national repository services, where applicable

These platforms allow libraries and institutions to preserve journal content with secure decentralized backup copies.

2. Self-Archiving by Authors

Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their article (submitted, accepted, and published versions) in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites. The article must include citation details and a link to the journal’s version of record.

3. Access and Open Availability

All content published in JOICE is open access and will remain accessible without restriction via the journal’s website. No subscription or payment is required to access archived materials.

4. In Case of Journal Discontinuation

In the event that JOICE ceases publication, all published content will continue to be available through our permanent archiving partners and the journal's digital repository.
